About The Role
As our Performance Engineer, you’ll be the driving force behind our application’s speed and scalability. You’ll leverage your expertise in monitoring, load testing, and cloud architecture to identify bottlenecks, implement optimizations, and establish performance standards across our systems. Working collaboratively with engineering teams, you’ll balance immediate improvements with forward-thinking designs that prevent performance issues before they impact our customers.
What You’ll Own
- Lead application performance optimization across frontend and backend, including identifying bottlenecks through load testing and implementing solutions
- Establish and maintain comprehensive system-level performance monitoring and observability
- Partner with engineering teams during design and code review phases to prevent performance issues before implementation
- Perform root cause analysis on performance issues in cloud services and serverless architectures
- Create clear documentation and well-structured code to demonstrate performance optimization approaches
- Support team growth through knowledge sharing, coaching, and mentoring on performance best practices
What You Need To Succeed
- Experience optimizing performance across full-stack applications
- Proficiency with performance monitoring and observability tools
- Expertise in load testing methodologies and tools
- Strong understanding of cloud services and serverless technology performance characteristics
- Ability to perform detailed root cause analysis
